Visit to orphanage projects in Johannesburg
His Highness Giovanni Caporaso Gottlieb, visited the Johannesburg Brakpan Red Cross Center for orphans and vulnerable children that take care of 330 kids. Carol Campbell, manager of the project said that the South African Red Cross Society did what it does best: relieve human suffering and afford individual human dignity and protect the vulnerable. The challenges are: cholera, abuse and AIDS.
Unfortunately the economical crisis affected also the “white” community and many kids are abandoned when their parents lose the job and cannot find one because all helping programs are exclusively directed to “black” people. These are the two faces of the new South Africa. Bokkee, is a volunteer care mother of 28 orphans that has no support by the government.
